The Guatemala Project

The mission of the Guatemala Project is to assist the people of Guatemala to be self-sufficient, through projects developed with the local beneficiaries. Project volunteers have been working in the highlands of Guatemala with the Methodist church, primarily serving poor indigenous persons.

Members from PUMC have been making trips to Guatemala every year since 2002, doing work on schools, medical and dental clinics, installing wood-burning stoves in homes, and painting.

Annually the Guatemala Project sponsors a sale at our church. The Project buys the craft items from local people in Guatemala; by our purchasing of these items that are brought back to the United States, the Project has money to purchase materials for the following year's work.

Educational scholarships may also be provided through the Guatemala Project, check the link for more information ...

Macedonia and Liberia Missionary Support

Palmdale United Methodist Church is in convenant relationships with two Methodist missionaries: Carol Partidge in Macedonia and Frido Kinkolenge in Liberia. What does it mean that we are in a convenant relationship? It means that we, as a church, have made a commitment to support their ministries through our prayers and financially.  Please remember Carol and Frido and their ministries in your daily prayer.  Annually, in September, the Missions Team will collect a special offering to support their ministries
