ANNUAL VARIETY SHOW

The PUM Foundation's fifth Annual Variety Show is coming up on Saturday, May 18th. A lasagna dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. cost is $20 for a family and $10 for individuals. Performers and their immediate family are free. All proceeds go to support the PUM Foundation Scholarship Fund.

ALL CHURCH PICNIC

Please join us on Sunday, May 19th, at 4:00 pm at Marie Kerr Park (Pavilion area-reserved picnic tables.) Bring a dish to share and your own drink. We will be joining Lancaster UMC, Peablossom CUMC, and Quartz Hill UMC for an all-church picnic.

FAMILY CAMP AT LAKE SAN ANTONIO

Join us at Lake San Antonio for Memorial Day Weekend, May 24th - 27th. Pick up a flyer or contact the church office.

DONATIONS NEEDED FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND

We have seven well-qualified applicants for the PUM Foundation Scholarship, so now is the time to make your annual donation to the scholarship fund if you haven't done so already. We appreciate all of your support for our outstanding scholars. Donations can be placed in the pew envelopes. Please mark "Foundation Scholarship" on the envelope, or you can stop by or mail it to the church office.

MISSION TEAM NEWS

The Missions Team is collecting gently used or new shoes for children ages preschool - 3rd grade for our friends in Guatemala. Sneakers are preferred because of the mountainous terrain. They will be collecting from Sunday, May 5th, until Sunday, June 23rd. Donation boxes will be located in the hallway outside the Fellowship Hall. Don & Carol Pierce along with Heather Knowles and her son Spencer will be distributing the shoes in person during their trip to Guatemala. Thank you so much for sharing your love for our neighbors in need.

Please e-mail your article to office@pumchurch.com. If your event needs to be in a specific week's bulletin, the earlier you can get it to us the better, even if it is several weeks ahead of time. We have so many events and activities, the bulletin gets full very quickly, and we want to be able to accommodate everyone's needs. THANK YOU!

UMW CRAFTS GROUP MEETING Every Thursday, 9:00 - 11:00 am Fireside Room

Crafts group meets weekly on Thursdays, from 9:00 - 11:00 am in the Fireside Room. Bring your favorite craft and join us.

SHAWL MINISTRY NEEDS YARN!

Our yarn boxes are almost empty! Please check your closets and grandma’s too. We particularly need worsted weight acrylic (super saver at Walmart is great for the price). Keep the Shawl Ministry in mind when visiting yard sales, recycle spots and clothing shops. Thank you so much for your help! Our lapghan recipients at the Children’s Center and our own preschoolers THANK YOU too!

UNITED METHODIST MEN HELPING HANDS

The UMM Helping Hand Program provides minor maintenance/repair work for members of the congregation when they are unable to do them. To put in a request please contact program coordinators, Harry Boyd or Don Pierce. Information regarding local sources which may be of assistance will be provided if a request cannot be handled by our volunteer base.

SMALL GROUPS

Small groups are continuing to get folks together in a variety of formats. It is great to be in a small group that is centered in Jesus. New groups will begin every time we have enough people committed. Call Pastor Angela in the church office to sign up, 947-3103.

EMPTY PRINTER CARTRIDGES AND EYEGLASSES

If you have any printer cartridges or eyeglasses to be recycled, please bring them to the Donation Station in the Fellowship Hall and drop them in the appropriate marked box.
